Charleston on Film

All hail the bride babe! A group of about 8 of us packed up and headed to Charleston to celebrate our best girl, Katrina, this past Labor Day.

This was my first visit to Charleston, which was a long overdue trip I needed the perfect excuse to make! We spent several days on our own walking tour of the city, which proved to have the most photogenic layout you could imagine. Seriously, this city is an architect’s dream. (I mean, I imagine so.) We even made it to Folly Beach for a relaxing seaside afternoon.

As much as I enjoy participating in traditional bachelorette activities (espresso martinis all around, please!), some of my favorite moments were a little more ahem civilized. We stumbled upon the most beautiful art gallery with a hidden garden, enjoyed a sunset boat tour of the Charleston Harbor, took way too many pictures and enjoyed some of the best brunch food I’ve ever had.

After the bachelorette weekend winded down, I took it upon myself to stay a couple of days on my own and further explore the city. For an infrequent solo traveler, I was pleased to find how safe I felt roaming the city alone. I found even more fabulous restaurants, bars, and stunning photo ops to take back with me.
