Can you believe we’ve already made our way through January? This month has flown by, and so has the (almost nonexistent) winter season. I’m fairly certain that this outfit was one of the most “wintery” outfits I wore this season, and that’s not really saying a lot! When stuck between seasons and unpredictable weather patterns, my way of getting by lies in combining elements of both seasons, like in this outfit from a while ago that’s been one of my absolute favorites. A little fur from my winter wardrobe + some fresh picks from new spring collections makes the perfect transitional ensemble.

I’ve been eyeing this bell sleeved top for a few months, but I wasn’t quite ready to purchase it before I knew I would have a chance to wear it! I finally purchased it in light pink, and I’m so happy I did! It’s a perfect top for work or a lunch date, and it also comes in white and red (perfect for Valentine’s Day coming up!). I’ve sort-of had these earrings for a while, but I accidentally ruined my last pair (sad day). I owned them in white this past summer and accidentally let them get wet, which completely unraveled the fabric. These tassel earrings are so worth purchasing, but be sure to treat them kindly if you do! This leather GiGi New York bag truly knows no season, so it’s a great go-to bag no matter what! P.S. You should definitely check out the GiGi New York Winter Sale that’s currently happening–they have a great selection that you’ll want to take advantage of!

This bow blouse from kate spade new york has been an integral piece in my wardrobe since I got it last fall and is always something that makes me feel put-together, whether I have it paired with a flirty skirt or tucked into a pair of high-waisted jeans. It’s a piece I feel is well worth investing in, but good news: it’s currently on major sale! This is a great piece for this time of year when (especially in the south) the weather cannot seem to make up its mind. For those days when it’s sunny and creeping towards the 70’s, but sure to drop at least 20 degrees throughout the day, long sleeves and light fabric are my go-to.

I had been eyeing this pink J.Crew peacoat for a few months, and it finally went on sale right after the holidays! I couldn’t resist snatching it up before it was too late. It’s still available in a few sizes, so be sure to jump at the chance while you can!

These navy J.Crew Factory loafers have carried me through many seasons now, and I would gladly make this purchase all over again. They’re pretty low in stock at the moment, but they’ve been restocking them for years, so be sure to keep an eye out! I’m also eyeing the version with a tassel for my next purchase. Keep in mind that they can take several wears to break in, but after you get past that, they are some of the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever wear!

Happy Monday, loves! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and is back ready to hit the ground running. After a few rainy days spent at the lake under a cozy blanket, sipping on coffee and catching up on some reading (I just finished this book this weekend and would totally recommend it!), it’s a bit of a challenge to get my head back to reality. However, we are all in this together, so let’s vow to take on the week ahead with equal parts coffee and hustle.

I have so many things in my closet that I wouldn’t necessary qualify as “work wear” necessarily, but it would be such a shame to let some of my favorite pieces sit in my closet without thought 90% of the week. This ruffled, sheer blouse is one item in particular I fell in love with the moment I spotted it at Zara. It’s sadly no longer available, but you can shop a similar one here and here! I adore its little ruffles at the shoulders and the feminine way it swings. It’s a perfect little out-to-dinner top, but to make it a bit more office appropriate I added some classic workwear staples that everyone needs!

I picked up this tweed blazer by Joie at Nordstrom Rack during their end-of-summer sales, and it’s actually transitioned quite nicely through the seasons since it’s such a neutral color. I found one that’s almost identical from Ann Taylor, which you can find right here!

I’ve been on the hunt for a classic, black, flared skirt, and along with many other classic pieces, failed time and time again to find something just right. I finally settled on this skirt I found on sale at Revolve, and I’m so happy with my selection! It hits at a great length that’s not only flattering but also appropriate for work, church, or things of the like. The only thing I would recommend is sizing down if you like it to fit at your waist instead of your hips like I do. Otherwise, it’s a win!

These snakeskin pointed-toe pumps and this black leather crossbody bag from kate spade new york are both pieces you’ve seen me wear time and time again. It’s so nice when you fall in love with certain pieces that become go-to’s for almost any outfit. I know I’ll likely keep these two pieces until they fall apart on me!

Collection Crush No. 2 | kate spade new york

Season after season, kate spade new york is one brand that I am continually inspired by. I had so much fun putting together this post for their Summer 2016 collection, as well as this post for their Fall 2016 collection last year. As my Collection Crush series (see the first post here!) begins to unfold, I knew that I had to spotlight what is arguably my favorite brand of all! kate spade new york always succeeds in striking the perfect balance between classic and quirky, seamlessly integrating details unique to the brand with of-the-moment trends. The collection they released late this winter exudes all the best traits of femininity with a dash of toughness (this black leather scalloped skirt truly says it all). The collection includes items ready to wear to work, such as this printed coat, this stunning bag, and these loafers I’m making every excuse to fit into my budget. Not only that, but they even made a point to include the chicest pair of pj’s I’ve ever seen. The combination of soft blush pink with striking black details makes this collection one of my favorites to date!

Take a look at some of my favorite picks below! Click each item to shop.

  1. Letter from Paris Silk Scarf | 2. Cream Colored Loafers | 3. Spotted Pajama Set | 4. Scallop Leather Skirt | 5. Petal Printed Coat | 6. Faux Pearl Collar Necklace | 7. Black Ruffle Chiffon Blouse | 8. Black Mini Bag | 9. Floral Printed Midi Dress | 10. Pink Scallop Tote Bag
